As Lent unfolds, we now begin regular Wednesday Lenten services at 11am and 7pm. The morning service is followed by a soup and salad lunch and the evening service is preceded by a soup and salad supper at 6pm. The 11am service is a "Morning Prayer" type of service and will include a special organ prelude each week and the 7pm service is Holden's Evening Prayer, a beautiful, sung service. The message at each service will be a "Conversation Under the Cross" as Pastor Shelly will be interviewing a different person each week (a professional athlete, a pilot, an artist, a law professor and more) about how God is at work in and through their lives. You don't want to miss these. Also, a big thanks to all who were a part of the Adult Sunday School class this past Sunday. As a follow up to "Lutheranism 101" we are now working through an ELCA wide study "Table and Font". This past weekend included conversation about our own table, without the railing, and what that means. The conversation about that, and how we will be gathering around that table continues. Pastor Shelly will be leading the class this coming weekend, please note the class will be held in the Sanctuary. Come and be a part of some great conversation. For more information about life at Our Savior, be sure to check out our website, or if you are out of town or home sick tune in to see our services on line, both live or watch at a convenient time, and "Like" us on Facebook. Who ever would have thought any of these things would have been a part of "being church", but they are, and they are all good ways to stay connected and be in community with one another, even when we are separated by time or distance. But the best is just being in church together. See you there! Pastor Jack Diehl + www.oursaviorelca.com |
