Dogs, Cats, Hot Dogs and More....

Our Savior Lutheran Church OSE-News                  October 5th  - Pet Blessing, Congregational Cook Out and More!  Following our commemoration of Francis of Assisi this past weekend, we get to continue the celebration this Wednesday, Oct. 7 at our annual "Pet Blessing" and Wednesday night supper kick off!   This is always a special time of the year when we get to offer a blessing on those special furry or feathered friends in our lives, and begin our Wednesday night suppers.    This year HALO Animal Rescue Shelter will be with us.  You are asked to bring a can or bag of dog or cat food for an offering for HALO.    The pet blessing begins at 5:30 pm and the supper begins at 6 pm.  Hamburgers, hot dogs, beans, etc. are the main course.  What a great way to get to know people and enjoy being around some of God's beloved creatures out in God's creation (the pet blessing is held in the Memorial Garden).    And speaking of God's creation, there will be an adult retreat at Luther Springs (for singles and couples) Nov. 16-18.   Several of us are already signed up to go.  Click here for more information and please call the office by Oct. 13 so we can register as a group for a group discount.  For more about the life of Our Savior, please visit www.oursaviorelca.com.    Have a blessed week, and we'll see you in church!    Pastor Jack +         Weekly Devotions and Prayers: Click Here
