OSE NEWS  March 31, 2014                  Lots of "good-byes" this past weekend as so many of our winter residents will be heading back north this week.  But what a wonderful last weekend it was for this season!  The Rev. Dr. Rolf Jacobson, Old Testament professor from Luther Seminary in St. Paul MN, was our guest for our 4th annual "Seminary Weekend".  His humor, wisdom, inspiring sermon and our time together during the Sunday School hour was so well received by all.  Many thanks to Dr. Jacobson.  It was an amazing weekend together.  His sermon can be heard by clicking here.   Attached to this "O.S.E-news" is our April/May Newsletter.    This Spring edition contains lots of pictures, videos, links, and information about what is happening in the next few months at Our Savior!  CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD!     As we are now past the second half of the Lenten season, there are only 2 more Wednesdays with our 11am and 7pm services, as we hear from the spear and the shroud which were there at the time of Jesus death and resurrection.  These half hour services, followed by lunch, or preceded by a soup and salad supper are great ways to observe this season and prepare for Holy Week and the Easter celebration.       Have a blessed week.   See you in church.    Pastor Jack Diehl +             The Bible readings this coming Sunday are for everyone who feels half dead, for everyone who sees death everywhere, as well as for everyone who is afraid to even think about death.
