Our Lenten pilgrimage continues as we (in light of this past Sunday's sermon) continue to look to God as "our light and our salvation", "the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" Ps. 27:1 If you missed Pastor Shelly's sermon, you can hear it on line by going to our website and finding it there (or click this link). The closing story of Rolf Jacobsen is most moving, and with a wonderful bit of humor at the end. Beginning this Sunday, during the Sunday School hour, there will be a 3 week class for all children not yet receiving communion. The class will meet this Sunday in the Quiet Room off of the narthex. It is for the children and at least one of the parents. If you have any questions call reply to this email or call either of the pastors. RECYCLE your newspapers! The Youth Group has a special container next to the shed here at church in the northeast corner of the parking lot for recycled newspaper, office and shredded paper (not cardboard). Proceeds will go to support the Youth Ministry, so you can recycle paper, help the environment and help the youth group all at once! Many thanks to those who contributed to the Blood Mobile last weekend during the Rummage Sale. The Blood bank people were so pleased and grateful. 18 people registered and 15 units of blood were received! Finally, don't forget our mid week Lenten services on Wednesday (11am followed by soup and salad lunch, and 7pm Holden Evening Prayer preceded by soup and salad supper at 6pm). See you in church!
